The Ballou S.T.A.Y. (School to Aid Youth) High School is offering free classes leading to licensing and certifications in Barbering, Cosmetology, Computer Repair, Computer Networking, Auto Mechanics, TV Production, and Microsoft Office Specialist. Additionally, there are programs which are also offered during the evening hours (8:30am-9:30pm MTWTHF) which provide all of the basic courses needed to attain a District of Columbia Public School (DCPS) High School Diploma. For D.C. Residents above the age of 25, Ballou S.T.A.Y. offers the nationally renowned External Diploma Program (EDP). EDP presents an opportunity for students to earn their DCPS high school diploma by combing credit given for work experience with the demonstration of a range of academic competencies. The Ballou S.T.A.Y School is housed in the lower west-wing of the Ballou High School. The Ballou High School complex is located at 3401 4th Street S.E., Washington D.C. 20032.
